A follow up to my previous skin tutorials. I've done a little more experimenting and acted on some very usefull feedback and tips that ItsMeeSzark gave me. This is not a tutorial as such, more of a quick look guide that should hopefully be use full as reference. Enjoy!
I had been (and do) follow a tutorial from the SI creator, but I was having some difficulty making my character's very green skin look "normal". Your settings really added to the process in a helpful, clear way!
So many thanks for sharing your technique with the rest of us! It's most appreciated!
Otherwise, this is a really nice tutorial image. The advice on using SSS on the teeth, for example, is pretty durn ingenious, and not something I would have thought of.
Like I said in the tutorial this is just how I work and do things, people should always work with what feels best for them from their own experimenting.
The mouth SSS thing is realy handy and helps your characters looks much better when they are smiling etc. Just remember not to use too much strength for them though or they can begin to look like they have a glowing mouth.
DAZ Studio Formats/My Library/Shader Presets/Omnifreaker/UberSurface
If you go to your Content Library Tab, and then enter UberSurface in the little search bar, it should take you straight to it. Make sure you click the help icon to read up on how to apply the shader to items first
And there is the Volumetric Shader I was missing too.
